This is my map of Israel showing the journey of Samson during what I call the “revenge” part of his life: his refused visit with his wife; the 300 foxes he tied together to burn down the Philistine crops; his retreat to the cave of Etam, & his violent attack on the Philistines with a donkey’s jaw-bone.
I decided to use similar colours to represent height above sea level (& below it, in the case of the Jordan/Arabah valley!) that I have used in other maps. I have also added brown terrain lines to try to indicate mountains & hills, upland areas, slopes, etc.
Date
The period of the Judges was from about 1,380 B.C. to about 1,045 B.C. Samson was a Judge from 1,154 B.C. to 1,124 B.C.
Notice the figures on the border of the map.
If you look carefully at the map border you will see I have included some little black and white figures, just for fun! I drew the lion, Ostrich, Golden Jackal & Boat specifically for the Samson maps.
