Psalms 23:4 (ANIV)
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death [1],
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

[1] or, through the darkest valley.

David (son of Jesse), with a glowing figure of the Lord God walking beside him.

RESEARCH/ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Psalm 23 is an example of a Psalm of Confidence, which expresses trust in God’s care for & leadership of his people.

There are three versions of this scene:
01) (Previous page) Psalm 23 – Scene 02 – Valley of death (Skulls version 01). This one was king David & the Lord (the glowing figure) walking through a valley made of various skulls & bones.

02) (This page) Psalm 23 – Scene 02 – Valley of death (Skulls version 02). This one was king David without the Lord (the glowing figure) walking through a valley made of various skulls & bones.

03) (Next page) Psalm 23 – Scene 02 – Valley of death (Death shadow version). This one was king David walking through a valley with the hedge, trees etc forming a skull shadow across the path he is walking on.

This version shows a valley of various human & animals skulls, which is my way of visually representing death. King David (the Psalmist) is walking through the valley; version 01 has the glowing figure of the Lord God walking beside him, whilst version 02 just has David walking (apparently) alone. I decided to show the moon looking like a skull, shining through some clouds, for extra chilling effect!
