The next day the whole Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. “You have killed the Lord’s people,” they said.

This is a simple scene, showing the Israelite community surrounding Moses, Aaron & Joshua (Moses’ assistant) and pointing accusing fingers at them, saying “You have killed the Lord’s people.” In fact it was the Lord who did that (see previous scenes in this story).
