From left to right: The Canaanite woman’s husband, the Canaanite woman, their previously demon-possessed daughter, now healed by Jesus.
RESEARCH/ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Just as in scene 01, I decided to have a very simple background, without any objects, so that the viewer’s attention is focussed solely on the three figures in this scene. In contrast to that first scene, the couple’s daughter is free of the demon that possessed her, after being instantly healed by Jesus & is again calm & in her right mind. The trio are here reunited & cuddling up as a little family.
As in the previous scenes involving the Canaanite people, I wanted to show a clear difference in dress/costume between the Canaanites & Israelites. The triangular zig-zag shapes on the robes of the Canaanites mark them out as belonging to that race.
