DRAWING NOTES:
TIME OF DAY:
Unspecified in the Bible narrative. I have set this scene in the late mid morning.

RESEARCH/ADDITIONAL NOTES:
This is a relatively simple scene showing the prophetess Deborah talking to Barak.
The name Deborah “honeybee”; she was both a prophetess and a judge (i.e. she was leading Israel). Verse 5 tells us that she held court under the palm of Deborah, which means she was functioning as a judge in deciding disputes between people. her court was located about 8 or 10 miles (12.8-16 km) north of Jerusalem between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim. The only thing we know about Deborah’s husband was his name, Lappidoth, which means “torch”.
The name Barak means “lightning”.
Here is the scene without the figures in the foreground.
