Job 1:6-12 (NLT)
Job’s First Test
6 One day the angels [1] came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan the Accuser came with them. 7 “Where have you come from?” the LORD asked Satan. And Satan answered the LORD, “I have been going back and forth across the earth, watching everything that’s going on.”

8 Then the LORD asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and will have nothing to do with evil.”

9 Satan replied to the LORD, “Yes, Job fears God, but not without good reason! 10 You have always protected him and his home and his property from harm. You have made him prosperous in everything he does. Look how rich he is! 11 But take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face!”

12 “All right, you may test him,” the LORD said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the LORD’s presence.

This scene takes place in heaven. The glory of the Lord God illuminates the scene with blinding brilliance.

CHARACTERS PRESENT:
The Lord God is sitting on a golden throne. many angels are at the foot of the steps leading up to the Lord.
The Devil (Satan) is the figure in dark purple in the midst of the angels.
Job, his wife some of his children & servants can be seen on the right of the picture.

RESEARCH/ADDITIONAL NOTES:
This image shows the Lord God sitting on a golden throne in heaven. I have used the design I created in the small series “Matthew 25 – The sheep and the goats”. Similarly I have used the clothing & figure for the Devil/Satan which I drew in “Matthew 04 – The temptation of Jesus”.

Job, his wife & family is visible to the Lord, the Devil & the angels, but of course they are not aware that they are being observed by the heavenly beings.
